Spark tester was created by Archived Forum Admin
Dear Members

We are presently using High Frequency Spark Testers for high speed PVC insulating line (500 meter per minute to 800 meter per minute). We face missed sparks post production during rewinding.

Are DC spark testers for these high speed PVC insulating line more efficient than High Frequency AC Spark Testers. Please share your experience on this.

Thanks & Regards

Reuben

Hi Reuben,

Over the years we evaluated a number of different types of spark testers and always came back to D.C spark testers mainly because of the accuracy of the voltage setting.

It depends. In my experience, our machine was configured with a HF sparker mainly to satisfy quality wire requirements.
