Hello again msaad10,

We are not clear of course on what your concept of a "normal" die or "final" or finish drawing die is. For instance, your "normal" die may be a standard carbide die or a polycrystalline diamond die whereas your "final" or finish die may be a solid industrial diamond or even perhaps, although unlikely, a standard carbide die.

For a short, special run, you should be able to use a carbide finish die instead of a diamond die but keep in mind that a polycrystalline finish die will create very small score (drag) marks along the longitudinal axis of the conductor. The final diameter of the conductor may be on size or perhaps very slightly smaller than the die size if a polycrystalline die is used.

You will have to experiment and hope that you will report your findings back to this Forum. Thank you.
