Black points on galvanized steel wire was created by Archived Forum Admin
Dear All,

After galvanization of steel wire, (H/C) some times there are some black points on the wire.

I tried all solutions (Flux, dross etc.) but unfortunately I could not solve the problem completely. Do you have any idea how to solve this problem.

Best regards.
Murat

It could be important to check in all the parts in contact with the galvanized wire , sinker roler or stone, pullys, guides , wipes etc. , it looks one possibility could be that wires are geting the blak pints after galvanizing.

The purity and quality of zinc could also have some influence
