Steel wire die drafting was created by Archived Forum Admin
Sir,

I would like to know, in the best wire drawing practice, what is the criteria of die drafting of rod 8 to 3mm in 9 and 7 drum of 24" size.

1) What is the die profile?
2) % of area reduction?
3) Profile and angle of die ?

Thanks and regards
gaurav

Hi Singhgaurav,

is the rod being processed, low or high carbon, this will determine the die angles,. Also are you descaling or pickling the rod prior to drawing.
