Sander belt was created by Archived Forum Admin
Somebody have been used ceramic sander belt in the sanding operation before drawing ?

Do you know about the disadvantages of use it?


Do tou know about where i can get information about this theme?

Hi there,

I am not sure what you are talking about. Are you referring to steel, copper or aluminum rod? Are you talking about a continuous sandblasting operation or perhaps liquid honing or even shaving?

I´m talking about low carbon steel to make welding wire cooper coating. Its a continuos operation
Its a descaling operation with a sander unit its shave the rod with a sand belt turning arround it
I have heard about the Zirconia sand Belt is normaly use to in almost all drawing operations. But I need information about use ceramic sand belts

As we understand it, Norton (Saint-Gobain Abrasives, Inc.) and 3M both manufacture ceramic sanding belts. We suggest you contact your local industrial distributors to find out more about your particular application and its advantages and disadvantages.
