EVA based master batch was created by Archived Forum Admin
Hi.
We recently introduced EVA based color masterbatch in our house wire process. Can anyone tell me its properties and advantage/disadvantage against PVC
based master batch?
Thanks

Hello appu198,

Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) is a non-chlorinated vinyl compound and no doubt quite compatible with your insulation compound. It is a copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate.

You should be able to get all the EVA chemical details from your masterbatch suppliers. Here are some links:

Wikipedia - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethylene-Vinyl_Acetate

SpecialChem - www.specialchem4adhesives.com/tc/ethylen...rs/index.aspx?id=eva

MSDS Sheet - www.arkema-inc.com/plants/canada/msds/AP2800.pdf
